<p>Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first</p> <p>Humana's Corporate Strategy team is a small, high-performing group that works closely with Humana's senior leadership to chart the course for the company's future. In Strategy, you will identify and analyze exciting new growth opportunities and work with business leaders to prioritize strategic investments and execute strategic transformation. Corporate Strategy Directors have regular interactions with Humana's leadership and regularly manage deliverables for Humana's broader Management Team and Board of Directors.</p> <p>This is a hybrid role (in-office approx. 3 days per week). The preferred location for this role is Washington, DC at our 1812 N. Moore, Arlington, VA office. Other locations that will be considered are Louisville, KY, Chicago, IL, and Nashville, TN.</p> <p>As Director, Corporate Strategy, you will provide strategic guidance and thought leadership to our most senior leaders through development of enterprise-wide strategic plans and objectives. In addition, you will lead a wide variety of cross-functional strategy projects related to Enterprise growth priorities, provide strategic support for M&A processes and external partnership opportunities, and present progress and recommendations to Humana's senior leadership and Board. Day-to-day activities will include overseeing a team of associates to prepare industry analysis, high level financial modeling, and qualitative analysis and synthesis of strategic options to create executive-level deliverables and recommendations for Humana's senior leaders and Board.</p> <p>Key responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Working with Humana's leadership team to establish and communicate enterprise strategy </li><li>Delivering on a wide range of short-term and long-term strategic activities, including strategic projects, strategy execution, and business development/M&A activities </li><li>Leading cross-functional projects, working with the management team and business presidents </li><li>Convert strategy into business cases and projects while prioritizing timelines and ensuring consensus and execution </li><li>Significant involvement in prioritization of enterprise-wide strategic investment funds </li><li>Managing external relationships with key business partners </li><li>Developing and refining key team operating systems and individual team members </li></ul> <p>The successful candidate will be a dynamic leader who has worked in strategy at a top tier strategy consulting firm or in a large corporation. He/she will have a demonstrated ability to influence peers and business leaders. This person must be comfortable with ambiguity and able to work collaboratively with key leaders to shape the priorities and agenda for the Corporate Strategy group.</p> <p>He/she also will be effective at multi-tasking and possess keen change management skills. Employs focus, attention to detail, reliability, and appropriate prioritization to drive outcomes. Sees opportunities to contribute and takes the initiative to create solutions. </li></ul> <p>Use your skills to make an impact</p> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>MBA, MHA, MD or other relevant professional degrees</p> </li><li> <p>3-5+ years post MBA consulting or corporate strategy experience</p> </li><li> <p>Proven experience developing board-ready material and planning for strategic annual meetings for executives and Board of Directors</p> </li><li> <p>Proven experience setting priorities and defining the future direction of a company (i.e. competitive analysis, strategy road map, strategic investment prioritization)</p> </li><li> <p>Strong business acumen and analytical skills with proven ability to apply foundational strategy principles to a variety of business problems</p> </li><li> <p>Proven experience working directly with and presenting to Executive level management</p> </li><li> <p>Passion for people development and demonstrated leadership success (both internally and externally)</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to identify, structure and solve business problems</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication and presentation skills with proven experience writing and delivering presentations to members of the management team and CEO.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability to interact with senior leadership internally and externally</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Leadership experience at top-tier strategy consulting firm or Fortune 500 corporate strategy team</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working in healthcare industry, preferably payer or provider space</p> </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <p>Humana values personal identity protection. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.</p> <p>$203,300 - $279,500 per year</p> <p>This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
