Their role may at times also include broadly educating on complex reimbursement issues and requirements necessary to initiate and maintain therapy. This team embodies Ipsen's approach to working with patients for patients.</p> <p>This is a complex position requiring coordination with other Ipsen teams (Medical, Clinical, Communications and Patient Advocacy, Regulatory, Compliance, Marketing, Value and Access, Care Coordination Team, and other field-based colleagues) to facilitate alignment and to ensure patients are supported throughout their journey in a most appropriate, compassionate, ethical, and compliant way.</p> <p>This is an ideal role for an individual that is looking to join a small team that is devoted to growth and development of its team members and who wants to work for a mid-size biotech organization with a strong focus on patient centricity.</p> <p>Your territory includes New England States, NY, NJ and Eastern PA</p> <p>Main Responsibilities / Job Expectations</p> <p>Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provide, proactively and in response to requests, relevant, approved patient-oriented disease/product information to patients, caregivers, and patient communities in the assigned geography.</p> </li><li> <p>Organize and/or participate in patient and patient group engagement in a variety of settings including one-on-one settings, meetings, and conferences of all sizes, and using a variety of communication media</p> </li><li> <p>Facilitate and/or deliver educational services to patients, caregivers, patient organizations.</p> </li><li> <p>Facilitate, attend and/or staff patient community events.</p> </li><li> <p>Help patients and caregivers connect with Ipsen Patient Services resources to address complex reimbursement issues, insurance options and limitations, benefits, and requirements necessary to initiate and maintain therapy.</p> </li><li> <p>Respect the privacy of patients and their caregivers/families and manage all personal information in accordance with all laws, regulations, and policies.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with other cross functional roles to coordinate patient disease and product education activities.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains disease-state and product expertise through continuing education and attendance at relevant symposia, conferences, and other educational opportunities.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain documentation requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>This is not a promotional selling role and is not accountable for delivery of organization sales goals.</p> </li><li> <p>Act in full compliance with all laws, regulations, and policies.</p> </li><li> <p>Utilize only approved resources and messages to perform function responsibilities.</p> </li><li> <p>It is the responsibility of all company employees who receive information pertaining to a possible adverse event (AE) or serious adverse event (SAE) to understand that the appropriate clinical and regulatory personal must be notified of the event promptly upon receipt regardless of severity.</p> </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Abilities & Experience</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent or certified genetic counselor required.</p> </li><li> <p>Master's degree and relevant certifications is a plus.</p> </li><li> <p>Active RN license or certified genetic counselor required (note that this role does not involve the practice of direct patient care).</p> </li><li> <p>5+ years of prior Pharma/Biotech experience in specialty products, including interacting with providers, patients, and caregivers.</p> </li><li> <p>3+ years' experience in designing and or delivering patient and/or consumer-oriented health education.</p> </li><li> <p>Rare-disease experience a plus.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong clinical acumen.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent understanding of patient-literacy concepts and ability to communicate complex scientific/medical information in patient-friendly language.</p> </li><li> <p>Fluent in English.</p> </li><li> <p>Fluent in Spanish is highly preferred.</p> </li></ul> <p>The annual base salary range for this position is $112,000- $165,000</p> <p>This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentives program.</p> <p>At Ipsen we are proud to offer a comprehensive employee benefits package, including 401(k) with company contributions, group medical, dental and vision coverage, life and disability insurance, short- and long-term disability insurance, as well as flexible spending accounts.
