<p>Located at CompuNet Core Lab (Moraine, OH)</p> <p>Full-Time Day Shift (8:00am to 4:30pm)</p> <p>Full-Time Evening Shift ( 4:00pm to 12:30am])</p> <p>$15.00/hour to start</p> <p>Eligible for 15% shift differential for working Evening, Nights & Weekends</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Prioritize specimens before data entry. </li><li>Enter patient, client, physician info, specimen type, and testing details into system. </li><li>Receive and process electronically transmitted specimens. </li><li>Prepare specimens for testing via centrifugation and distribution. </li><li>Ensure specimen identification and integrity through visual inspection. </li><li>Resolve order and specimen issues with providers and technical team. </li><li>Load specimens onto laboratory instruments. </li><li>Assist with automation system troubleshooting. </li><li>Prepare specimens for repeat or additional testing; handle referrals. </li><li>File, store, and discard specimens appropriately. </li><li>Process specimens from Sandridge and other hospital locations. </li><li>Follow departmental, company, and regulatory policies. </li><li>Assist in staff training and orientation. </li><li>Promote teamwork and positive work environment. </li><li>Demonstrate customer service principles to patients and coworkers. </li><li>Operate and maintain departmental equipment (e.g., pneumatic tube station, centrifuges). </li><li>Perform other assigned duties. </li><li>Complete annual competency assessments. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. </li><li>Prefer previous medical terminology experience and/or education. </li><li>Must also demonstrate a strong history of dependability and customer service skills. </li></ul> <p>Safety demands & requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Will have exposure to biohazard substances and hazardous chemicals </li><li>Be familiar with and adhere to safety, ergonomic and health policies of the Company. </li><li>Comply with all PPE requirements when in the laboratory or other biohazard areas. </li><li>Complete required safety training and health evaluations in a timely manner. </li><li>Anticipate safety hazards, act upon unsafe situations and promote safety awareness. </li><li>Process specimens independently at an efficient rate based on experience. </li><li>Maintain composure and handle high-stress situations calmly. </li><li>Demonstrate professionalism and cooperation in all interactions. </li><li>Perform routine and detailed tasks with strict adherence to procedures. </li><li>Critical attention to detail and deadlines to meet performance standards. </li><li>Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. </li><li>Stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. </li><li>Bend frequently to handle specimens from pneumatic tube stations and storage. </li><li>Maintain focus on tasks without distractions over extended periods. </li></ul>
