<p>Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a Shop Helper/Maintenance Assistant for a long-term, day shift role in NW Portland, OR. The person in this position will support a job shop specializing in large and intricate industrial machines.</p> <p>Pay: $20-$23/hour</p> <p>Shop Helper/Maintenance Assistant Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Clean and maintain shop floors by removing metal shavings, oil, and other debris using brooms, rakes, and shovels.</p> </li><li> <p>Collect and properly dispose of scrap metal, trash, used rags, and other waste in designated containers.</p> </li><li> <p>Clean machinery and equipment. Remove metal shavings from machinery and wipe down equipment using proper solvents or cleaners.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain walkways and work areas by ensuring aisles, exits and workstations are clear, organized and free from hazards.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with machinery maintenance by replenishing lubricants and replacing filters as needed.</p> </li></ul> <p>Shop Helper/Maintenance Assistant Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must have valid Oregon driver's license for local pick-ups/drop-offs of materials and products.</p> </li><li> <p>Must have reliable transportation.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to frequently lift, carry, push or pull 50-75 lbs.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to remain on feet for extended shifts while walking, kneeling, and crouching.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with forklifts and overhead cranes is preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working in machine shops or other manufacturing facilities is preferred.</p> </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li> <p>$20-$23/hour based on experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Medical</p> </li><li> <p>401(k) with company matching.</p> </li><li> <p>Paid Sick Leave</p> </li><li> <p>Paid Holidays</p> </li></ul>
