This position is offered in the following cities:</p> <ul> <li>Los Angeles, CA </li></ul> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>As an?Interior Designer?at DLR Group you will be working as part of integrated design teams responsible for the design and delivery processes aligned with client goals, budgets and schedule parameters. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, including Education, Workplace, Healthcare, Justice + Civic, and Mixed-Use.</p> <p>Join our team and play a key role in designing complex projects from schematic design to construction administration. You'll develop comprehensive material and finish palettes, and collaborate with clients, contractors, vendors, and team members to prepare detailed specifications.</p> <p>As part of our employee-owned firm, we support your professional career growth through continuous development opportunities and a dynamic, creative work environment.</p> <p>What you will do:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrate a strong ability in conceptual design, program development and applies space planning expertise. </li><li>Have a strong foundation of comprehensive design and technical skillsets including creative design and drawing skills, graphic and oral design presentation skills, capacity for conceptual design thinking, and 3D design/modeling ability </li><li>Possess a holistic design acumen that addresses the 3-dimensional space; from functionality, alignment with programmatic needs and how materials, volumes and the performance of the space all comes together </li><li>Be responsible for applying DLR Group practice standards to project deliverables across the project team. </li><li>Actively leads collaboration at project and integrated team level by generating design ideas and solutions. </li><li>Effectively communicates with project team members through timely and appropriate written, oral, and visual means </li><li>Prepare and develop with the team, as required, drawings, models, images, material & mood boards and other documents relating to the design </li><li>Take responsibility for the development of the design and the project with input from the Principal in Charge and/or the Design Leader for key project stages </li><li>Have strong client and time management skills </li><li>Possess excellent written and oral communication skills </li><li>Meets deliverable deadlines to maintain overall project schedule. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design </li><li>5 - 8 years of professional interior design experience </li><li>Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office suite and Designer Pages Pro. </li><li>3D Visualizing Software: Enscape, Sketch Up, and Lumion Render and knowledge of Bluebeam </li><li>Ability to work both independently and effectively in cross-disciplinary teams and across multiple offices </li><li>Ability to travel occasionally to support project tasks. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Professional licensure </li><li>LEED AP and/or other green certifications </li><li>Interest in Sustainability Design </li><li>TO BE CONSIDERED, PLEASE SUBMIT CURRENT PORTFOLIO/WORK SAMPLES IN PDF FORMAT* </li></ul> <p>#LI-JD</p> <p>Our comprehensive Benefits at DLR Group include medical, dental, vision, disability, wellness programs, flex spending, paid holidays, and paid time off.
