<p>Adventist Health Portland has been caring for East Portland since 1893, growing alongside the community we serve. The Adventist Health Northwest Heart Center, located on our medical center campus, provides advanced cardiovascular care, bringing together expert providers, innovative treatments and compassionate support for patients across the region.</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>Evaluates and treats patients to promote, maintain and improve treatment programs and protocols. Ensures clinical skills meet high standards through continual educational opportunities. Serves as a resource to assist with other departmental aspects.</p> <p>Job Requirements:</p> <p>Education and Work Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD): Required; only if obtained license on or after January 2007; or foreign equivalent. </li><li>Five years' technical experience: Preferred </li><li>Two years' leadership experience: Preferred </li><li>One year's experience in an acute care facility: Preferred </li></ul> <p>Licenses/Certifications:</p> <ul> <li>Occupational Therapy licensure in state of practice: Required </li><li>Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required </li></ul> <p>Facility Specific License/Certifications:</p> <ul> <li>AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS: Required </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Provides clinical and professional mentorship to department staff. </li><li>Acts as a departmental clinical resource, especially in the absence of coordinators and managers. </li><li>Completes comprehensive and accurate clinical documentation within established deadlines. </li><li>Completes evaluations to ensure quality standards and addresses assessment areas that require attention. Uses appropriate clinical techniques and tools, establishes individualized treatment plans for patients and completes necessary documentation. </li><li>Performs other job-related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Organizational Requirements:</p> <p>Adventist Health is committed to the safety and wellbeing of our associates and patients.
