<p>Description</p> <p>The City of Moreno Valley is seeking a creative, customer centered, and collaborative</p> <p>Human Resources Technician to assist in our recruitment and talent management efforts.</p> <p>Join the City of Moreno Valley Human Resources Team!</p> <p>Apply immediately!</p> <p>YOUR POSITION</p> <p>We are seeking a detail-orientedHuman Resources Technicianto support recruitment and onboarding processes within our HR department. Our department includes four Technicians, three Analysts, one Senior Analyst, two Division Managers, and a Director. We support 459 full-time employees, as well as several temporary and part-time staff across our divisions of Recruitment, Benefits Administration, and Risk Management. This role ensures efficient hiring practices by assisting with pre-requisition planning, managing recruitment logistics, and coordinating interviews, leveraging NEOGOV for daily tasks such as screening minimum qualifications, tracking onboarding progress, and managing candidate communications. Additional responsibilities include facilitating job offers, preparing new hire personnel files, and conducting first-day orientations.</p> <p>Find additional information in theHuman Resources Technicianjob description.</p> <p>YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO</p> <ul> <li>Strengthen the City's workforce by supporting recruitment and onboarding processes. </li><li>Collaborate with hiring managers and candidates to meet recruitment goals and timelines. </li><li>Leverage NeoGov to manage candidate communications, track progress, and streamline hiring workflows. </li><li>Contribute to a seamless onboarding experience for new hires. </li><li>Ensure compliance with hiring practices and maintain accurate, confidential records. </li></ul> <p>OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE</p> <ul> <li>Brings proven experience with NEOGOV modules (Insight, Onboard & Perform), SharePoint & intranet site management, handling detailed tasks, and managing time-sensitive recruitment projects. </li><li>Excels in organizational and time management skills to prioritize competing deadlines effectively. </li><li>Adapts well to a dynamic and collaborative team environment. </li><li>Demonstrates initiative in identifying solutions and solving problems independently. </li><li>Maintains professionalism when handling confidential and time-sensitive customer interactions. </li><li>Thrives on challenging, rewarding work and brings creativity and a positive attitude to the team. </li><li>Provides exceptional customer service and fosters strong relationships with stakeholders. </li><li>Self-assesses and proactively adjusts to align with team and organizational needs. </li><li>Communicates clearly and effectively with all levels of staff and candidates. </li><li>Upholds the City's mission, vision, and values, exhibiting pride in serving the community. </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>A typical way of obtaining the knowledge, skills and abilities outlined above is graduation from high school or a G.E.D. equivalent; and five years of increasingly responsible office administrative experience that provide familiarity with recruiting, interviewing and other human resource management practices; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.</p> <p>DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS</p> <p>Human Resources Technician is a paraprofessional technical and administrative support class in the City's human resource management job family. Incumbents perform assignments of varied difficulty in carrying out recruitment and selection programs and in support of other human resource program areas. Incumbents are expected to perform job assignments without close supervision using knowledge of City policies and human resource practices and procedures learned through experience.</p> <p>Human Resources Technician is distinguished from Human Resources Analyst in that incumbents in the latter class independently perform professional assignments requiring the use of management and human resource theory and principles gained through professional education and experience.</p> <p>THE CITY</p> <p>Moreno Valley was incorporated in 1984 as a General Law City, merging the communities of Moreno, Sunnymead and Edgemont. The City operates under a Council-Manager form of government. The City Council is comprised of an elected Mayor and four Council Members elected by district. The City has a committed customer-service oriented workforce comprised of more than 450 employees who provide a wide-range of municipal services including Public Works, Economic Development, Community Development, Parks and Community Services, Financial and Management Services and Library services.
