<p>Neighborhood Health is an innovative network of 11 community health centers in Nashville, Gallatin, and Lebanon, Tennessee. We provide comprehensive primary care, integrated behavioral health, and dental services to almost 30,000 patients. Our patients primarily include immigrants, residents of public housing, individuals experiencing homelessness, and persons living with addiction. Competitive wages, great benefits, and opportunities for advancement are just a few reasons why a career with us is an investment in your future.</p> <p>We are now hiring for a Dental Customer Service Representative (DCSR) and are looking for a cheerful, happy energetic individual who possesses the following:</p> <ul> <li>Strong communication, time management and telephone skills </li><li>A people person with a great attitude and attention to detail </li><li>An excellent multitasker who is organized & goal oriented </li></ul> <p>Nature of Position:</p> <p>The DCSR/Greeter will become the "Go To" employee for all dental scheduling needs for his/her prospective clinic. DSCR will be responsible to know in advance of the patient's needs and collect payments for services rendered, upon check in at each appointment. This position will also be responsible for checking all scheduled appointments prior to each day as trained. The DCSR will verify insurance and contact patients regarding expected payments as needed, ensuring that schedule is correct in all aspects. Through training, each DCSR will learn to use every available scheduling resource for consistently achieving daily, weekly, and monthly provider goals. Additionally, the DCSR is responsible for making every patient feel welcome and comfortable before and after their appointment.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Confirm all dental insurance payer information input details and scanning breakdown </li><li>Scan patient insurance cards & documents into patient files </li><li>Manage all accounts receivable patient collections </li><li>Confirm patient balances due, prior to all appointments </li><li>Keep the front desk dental patient flow going in a timely manner </li><li>Greet patients and make them feel at home </li><li>Manage new patient experience & registration </li><li>Presents expected patient payments for follow up treatments upon scheduling </li><li>Reviews accounts for dental credit balances & contact Billing when applicable </li><li>Check patients in and out </li><li>Manages Smile 180 Forms/Cases between Patients, Providers, and Billing Department. </li><li>Ensure incoming mail is sent to Foster Ave. daily with clinic batches </li><li>Keep the office scheduled to daily, weekly, and monthly goals </li><li>Schedules lab cases and related appointments advised by Dental Assistant </li><li>Professionally manage all patient issues brought to your attention, by consulting with supervisor </li><li>Help other CSR staff with anything needed to keep the front office running smoothly </li><li>Fill in on any vacant front office position/tasks as needed </li></ul> <p>Characteristics</p> <ul> <li>Energetic and enthusiastic personality </li><li>Passionate about patient care and helping people </li><li>Ability to problem solve complex situations expeditiously </li><li>Ability to multitask but still pay attention to detail </li><li>Excellent organizational and communication skills </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively in a professional and courteous manner </li><li>Willing to effectively participate as a team member with office personnel </li><li>Committed to the protection of confidential information, records and/or reports </li></ul> <p>Qualifications/Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Great verbal skills. </li><li>Bilingual English/Spanish preferred </li><li>Adequate knowledge of Dentistry, understands Dental Treatment Planning, & the Dental Claims Process </li><li>Strong attention to detail </li><li>Good time management skills </li><li>The ability to work independently and contribute effectively to the team </li><li>Good ethical principles with a "CAN DO" attitude </li><li>A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Dental Office Receptionist, at least 2 years of consistent experience working in one of our Clinics offering Dental Services, or a combination of both is required </li><li>Continued adherence to position expectations detailed in written agreement will be necessary </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent </li></ul> <p>EOE</p>
