<p>Toledo Clinic is seeking a part-time or full-time Medical Assistant (RMA/CMA/CCMA) to work in a busy Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine Department located in Sylvania OH with several satellite offices.</p> <p>Part-time schedules are Mon/Tues (8-5) and W (8-12) or Wed (1-5) and Thurs/Fri (8-5).</p> <p>This position will require some travel to other offices located in Wauseon, Napoleon, Maumee and Toledo. This position will provide both clinical and front office support. Employee benefits are offered and there are NO WEEKENDS and NO HOLIDAYS.</p> <p>Toledo Clinic is offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus to qualified Medical Assistants and Certified Patient Care Techs. Sign-On Bonuses are payable within 30 days of hire to employees that have active and verified credentials (ex: RMA/CMA/CCMA/CPCT/A). For candidates that have not yet obtained or need to renew their credential, the Sign-On Bonus is payable once the credential is obtained and verified. After one year of service, qualified Medical Assistants/Certified Patient Care Techs will be eligible for an additional $2,000 Retention Bonus.</p> <p>General Summary:</p> <p>Assist physician(s) with patient treatment, prepares patient for physician(s), and performs various clerical duties.</p> <p>Works under the supervision of the Office Manager.</p> <p>Principal Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Assist Drs. with patient care (i.e.: assisting with minor procedures/surgeries such as removing sutures, staples, moles, etc.).</p> </li><li> <p>Various clerical duties (i.e.: answering phones, scheduling appointments, handling patient charts, etc.).</p> </li><li> <p>Escorting patients to exam room.</p> </li><li> <p>Preparing exam rooms.</p> </li><li> <p>Preparing patient for Drs. (i.e.: histories, blood pressure, vitals, etc.).</p> </li><li> <p>Sterilizing and preparing instruments.</p> </li><li> <p>At the request of the physician, calling in prescription refills.</p> </li><li> <p>Order and maintain exam room supplies and instruments.</p> </li><li> <p>Follow up with lab work and/or xrays.</p> </li><li> <p>Administering injections.</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ol> <p>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent interpersonal skills required. </li><li>Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame. </li><li>Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed. </li><li>Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles. </li><li>Credentialed as a Medical Assistant (i.e.: CMA or RMA) or PCT (CPCT/A) </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Medical Assisting/PCT degree or diploma from an accredited school required. </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Clinical experience preferred. </li></ul>
