In this role, you will provide both clinical and administrative support within Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Services while collaborating as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team. If you are passionate about improving quality of life and value working in a collaborative healthcare environment, we invite you to consider this opportunity.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Clinical:</p> <ul> <li>Serves as Attending Physician on patients admitted to Legacy Rehabilitation Institute of Oregon. </li><li>Provides direct medical care and consultation services for patients requiring rehabilitation services who are hospitalized at a Legacy hospital, or who are referred for outpatient evaluation or services. </li><li>Provides or arranges coverage or cross coverage for Rehabilitation Services, twenty-four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days per week. </li><li>Responds promptly in writing to referral source with evaluation and suggested plan of care. </li><li>Provides telephone consultative services as appropriate for patients with injuries and/or disabilities possibly requiring rehabilitation services. </li><li>Provides medical coordination of direct patient care delivered by multidisciplinary team including nurses and therapists. </li></ul> <p>Administration:</p> <ul> <li>Collaborates with colleagues and other staff to develop and implement standards, policies, protocols, and quality assurance guidelines for rehabilitation services across the entire organization of Legacy Health. </li><li>Advises Legacy Health on new technology that pertains to rehabilitation services. </li><li>Participates in selecting, training, and evaluating personnel providing rehabilitation services. </li><li>Participates with physicians, surgeons, support services and other hospital personnel in coordinating the care of patients receiving rehabilitation services. </li><li>Facilitates the transfer of patients between the clinical units and Rehabilitation Service. </li><li>Meets regularly with appropriate service line administrators and colleagues, to review clinical and administrative issues. </li><li>Participates as requested in teaching activities including resident, student, nurse, and therapist education and outreach continuing medical education. </li><li>Serves on Department, Hospital, and Legacy Health System committees as requested. </li><li>Participates in marketing/outreach for rehabilitation services as requested. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Graduate of four-year U.S. Medical School or equivalent. </li><li>Satisfactory completion of an accredited residency or fellowship in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. </li></ul> <p>Licensure</p> <ul> <li>Board eligible/certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. </li><li>Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the applicable state. </li><li>Active member in good standing of Hospital Medical Staff. </li><li>BLS for Provider certification from the American Heart Association minimally required (ACLS may substitute for BLS). </li></ul> <p>Our Commitment to Health and Equal Opportunity</p> <p>Our Legacy is good for health for Our People, Our Patients, Our Communities, Our World.
