As the largest nonprofit affordable housing provider in the nation, we build, preserve, and manage program-enriched housing across the country.</p> <p>The Payroll Specialist is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the Mercy Housing payroll system for all employees; payroll processing, data entry, problem solving, and audit related to each payroll cycle. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.</p> <p>Pay: $60,000-65,000 ($28.85-31.29/hour).</p> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Several Healthcare plans to choose from, dental (includes adult and child orthodontia) and vision </li><li>15 days of earned PTO your first year, 12 company holidays + 2 floating holidays. </li><li>403b + match </li><li>Early close Fridays (3 paid hours each Friday) </li><li>Early close prior to a holiday (3 paid hours) </li><li>Paid Time off between Christmas and New Year's Holiday </li><li>Paid Volunteer Time </li><li>Paid Parental Leave and Care Giver Leave </li><li>Paid Life Insurance </li><li>Free Employee Assistance Plan </li><li>Free Basic Dental </li><li>Pet Insurance options </li></ul> <p>Duties</p> <ul> <li>Payroll Processing: Calculate and process employee salaries, wages, severances, and bonuses accurately and on time. </li><li>Data Entry: Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in compensation; approve and review changes. </li><li>Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including withholding and reporting. </li><li>Benefits: Review deductions for employee benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary deductions. </li><li>Garnishment: Understand order priorities, data entry of order, written and verbal correspondence with vendor and employee. </li><li>Timekeeping: Oversee time and attendance systems to track hours worked by employees. </li><li>Payroll Reporting: Generate and distribute payroll reports to relevant departments and management. </li><li>Problem Resolution: Address and resolve payroll-related issues or discrepancies promptly and professionally. </li><li>Record Keeping: Maintain accurate payroll records, including tax forms and payment records. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent. </li><li>Four (4) years of payroll processing including garnishments, HR/payroll data entry, and administrative support. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Associate degree and/or college-level business classes. </li><li>UKG Pro and Workforce Management or related experience. </li><li>FPC or CPP certification </li></ul> <p>This is a brief description of the position and responsibilities.</p>
