<p>Job Description:</p> <p>SUMMARY: Assist in small group and individual pupil instruction.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.</p> <ul> <li>Assist students with instruction under the direction of the special education teacher. </li><li>Assist teacher in maintaining discipline. </li><li>Assist teacher with instructional activities. </li><li>Escort students from room to room. </li><li>Toileting students is sometimes required. </li><li>Involves work with both special education and regular students. </li><li>Assist teaching staff in the implementation of IEP. </li><li>Supervise students while they are at recess and lunch. </li><li>Assist students with classroom assignments. </li><li>Copy materials for instructional purposes. </li><li>Assist teacher in filing material and preparing all necessary paperwork. </li><li>Alert teachers to problems that may be observed. </li><li>May require supporting with toileting of students </li><li>PMT required and provided by district </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:</p> <p>High School Diploma or General Education Degree.
