We truly appreciate your interest and understanding!</em></p> <p>The Staff Environmental Scientist, Engineer or Geologist (Long Beach, CA) directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for supporting the Project Manager in planning, organizing, controlling, integrating, and completing scientific projects within the area of assigned responsibility. Staff Environmental Scientist, Engineer or Geologist is responsible for carrying out assigned tasks in the field and office and managing the schedule and budgets of short-term projects.</p> <p>You will be part of a strong team of committed professionals. As a key member of the team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities, including:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Performing Phase I Environmental Site Assessments.</p> </li><li> <p>Collecting field data, including groundwater, soil, and soil vapor sampling.</p> </li><li> <p>Operating and maintaining soil and groundwater remediation systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Preparing and completing project deliverables.</p> </li><li> <p>Budgeting, scheduling, and reviewing field activities, invoices, approving labor time, costs, and procurement.</p> </li><li> <p>Planning and procuring all necessary equipment for project execution.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare operational permits and programs to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations and control compliance costs.</p> </li><li> <p>Keep up-to-date and current on industry trends by completing formal training, reviewing professional publications, and attending professional workshops.</p> </li><li> <p>Practicing safe work practices by following all Company safety rules and OSHA regulations, including attendance at all required safety training programs.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in continuous improvement programs and provide support to team efforts.</p> </li><li> <p>Performing other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily.
