<p>As Sr. Systems Administrator II, you'll lead the configuration, sustainment, and performance optimization of enterprise development and production environments. This role ensures system availability, security compliance, and operational continuity through proactive administration, Agile collaboration, and continuous improvement practices. Value for our customers.</p> <p>If you think you can see yourself delivering our mission and pursuing our goals with us, then check out the job description below!</p> <p>What you'll do:</p> <ul> <li>Administering Red Hat Linux and Oracle-based systems. </li><li>Monitoring system logs and performance metrics. </li><li>Supporting Agile Kanban workflows and sprint planning. </li><li>Coordinating with hosting providers and internal teams for issue resolution. </li><li>Maintaining documentation, SOPs, and configuration baselines. </li><li>Supporting DR/COOP readiness and obsolescence management. </li><li>Manage configurations, performing system patching and backups, and ensuring uptime and performance across mission-critical systems. </li><li>Collaborate with cybersecurity, DevSecOps, and engineering teams to support Agile delivery cycles, troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, and maintain compliance with security and operational standards. </li></ul> <p>What you'll need to succeed:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field. </li><li>7-10 years of experience in enterprise systems administration, including Linux-based environments and Oracle infrastructure. </li><li>Active IAT/IAM Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+, CCNA Security). </li><li>Demonstrated experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Exadata, and ZFS storage systems. </li><li>Proficiency in system patching, backup/recovery, and performance tuning. </li><li>Familiarity with DoD STIGs, RMF compliance, and cybersecurity best practices. </li><li>Experience supporting Agile sustainment workflows and DevSecOps pipelines. </li><li>Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance. </li></ul> <p>Hourly Rate: $58-$72</p> <p>The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:</p> <ul> <li>The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience </li><li>The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs </li><li>Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation </li><li>This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include: </li><li>Performance-based bonuses </li><li>Company-paid training and/or certifications </li><li>Referral bonuses </li></ul>
