<p>Position Type:</p> <p>Maintenance and Operations/Roofer</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>7/16/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Center for Education Services</p> <p>Closing Date:</p> <p>07/23/2025</p> <p>&nbsp&nbspAdditional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>Roofer</p> <p>Center for Education Services</p> <p>Grade 9 of the ESP Salary Scale ($22.88 - $41.38)</p> <p>8 Hours/Day, 12-Month Work Year</p> <p>Employee Benefits Summary</p> <p>Role Overview</p> <p>Under the general direction of the Maintenance Foreman, completes duties associated with the installation, maintenance, inspections, and repairs of roofing systems and components.</p> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <p>High School Diploma/GED or a combination of training, experience, and education.</p> <p>Ability to read specifications and work from blueprints.</p> <p>Four (4) years' successful working experience with; built up, shingles, metal, and single ply roofing systems.</p> <p>Four (4) years' experience maintaining and repairing gutters, downspouts, roof drains and flashing.</p> <p>Ability to work safely from ladders, scaffolding, and mechanical man lifts.</p> <p>Possess a valid driver's license with no court ordered restrictions.</p> <p>Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.</p> <p>The ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.</p> <p>Must have the ability to use workplace technology to perform daily tasks, including, but not limited to, online training, composing, sending, and receiving emails, and use of a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for work order fulfillment.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>OSHA certification.</p> <p>Fall prevention and protection training.</p> <p>Role Responsibilities</p> <p>Use all hand and power tools, equipment necessary to perform all roofing work.</p> <p>Make watertight repairs to all roofing systems.</p> <p>Make proper flashing repairs, gutters, and downspouts.</p> <p>Identify different roofing materials and their proper use.</p> <p>Perform carpentry work related to roofing.</p> <p>Apply materials according to manufacturer's written instructions.</p> <p>Perform all tasks from work orders listing time and materials.</p> <p>Willing and able to perform or help in other trades or contractors.</p> <p>Perform painting and caulking on building envelopes to ensure watertight facilities.</p> <p>Demonstrate courteous and professional demeanor to all stakeholders of Washington County Public Schools.</p> <p>Other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Environmental Factors and Physical/Mental Requirements</p> <p>The Environmental Factors and Physical/Mental demands represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
