<p>Filler Operator - Relief</p> <p>#32192</p> <p>Location: City of Industry, CA</p> <p>Company: Alta Dena Dairy</p> <p>Category: Manufacturing</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>The Relief Operator is responsible for performing all the duties related filling operations. This position will relieve other operators in Production, which include Fillers, Corrugation, and Debag.</p> <ul> <li>Order packaging material (paper, poly, cartons) from storage as needed. </li><li>Familiarity with all applicable equipment and provide quality inspections on all related items to ensure product specifications are met. </li><li>Visually inspect boxes, cartons and other packaged materials for printing defects. </li><li>Load packaging material onto machines in a timely manner to ensure no line stoppages. </li><li>Perform net weight control checks and make equipment adjustments as needed. </li><li>Sort, bundle and fill containers or place in assembled units. </li><li>Inspect packaging, coding and seals to verity conformance to specifications and performs necessary adjustments to ensure compliance. </li><li>Ensure the proper packaging materials are used for each product being produced. </li><li>Will have working knowledge and experience with wrapper operations, watching for jams and effectively threading wrap to prevent cost downtime due to handler error. </li><li>Record movement of stock in and out of work areas. </li><li>Monitor materials, products and equipment at each step of the process and reports irregularities to Supervisor. </li><li>Ensure machine is supplied with correct material needed to run and complete log books as required. </li><li>Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible and accurate format, and completed with required information. </li><li>Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP's. </li><li>Analyze process data and equipment performance data to improve quality, throughput and troubleshoot. </li><li>Prepare equipment for next run to include size changes as needed. </li><li>Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes. </li><li>Follow Good Manufacturing Practices. </li><li>Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area. </li><li>Follow all required work safe practices. This would include wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc. </li><li>Responsible for food safety, pre-requisite programs and food quality related to designated area. Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>6 months to 12 months combined work experience in Production, Labelers, De-Bag, and Corrugated. </li><li>Must be able to operate SERTI effectively. </li><li>Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. </li><li>Forklift Operator Certification required or must be able to pass a written and driving forklift skills test in 30 days. </li><li>Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs., frequently lift and/or move above shoulder height, stand, walk, kneel and bend required for virtually the entire shift. </li><li>Must be able to work in a wet environment with some exposure to cleaning chemicals. </li><li>Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays. </li><li>Be able to effectively work in a team environment. </li><li>Effective verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Must be able to pass all fit for duty screens as applicable. </li></ul> <p>COMPENSATION DETAILS:</p> <p>PAY RATE: $26.68 - $33.35</p> <p>PAID SICK DAYS</p> <p>PAID HOLIDAYS</p> <p>PAID VACATION</p> <p>EAP PROGRAM</p> <p>An Equal Opportunity Employer including Disabled/Veterans</p> <p>Salary:</p> <p>up to 33.35</p>
