Our team in Tampa, FL is looking for a Geotechnical Engineer (PE) to provide Geotechnical and Civil Engineering services for our Residential, Commercial, Municipal, Federal, Maritime, and Transportation clients. Collect and analyze geotechnical field information, enter it in the database and verify the viability. Obtain geotechnical information, such as mapping and field testing. Assist in the interpretation of the information collected. Coordinate field requirements with short-term plans, mine development and environmental protection. Support the development of geotechnical designs. Conduct field inspections and identify abnormalities. Prepare geotechnical reports.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Data Collection and Analysis: Conduct research using primary data sources, and select information needed for the analysis of key themes and trends. </li><li>Geoscientific Studies and Interpretations: Create proposals for the selection of exploration-well locations by overseeing all aspects of geological/geophysical modeling and leading the data interpretation process. </li><li>Reservoir Characterization and Analysis: Analyze and integrate reservoir engineering data, including results of flow tests and well tests and historical production performance. Prepare and arrange the project database for reservoir engineering characterization and simulation. </li><li>Engineering Solutions Design: Contribute to the design of engineering solutions; design the feasibility testing approach and supervise its implementation to support the development and validation of engineering solutions. </li><li>Knowledge Management: Implement policies and processes, collect best practices, write case studies, and deliver internal knowledge-sharing sessions to capture and share knowledge among colleagues on project/program outcomes and innovative practices and to support the practice. </li><li>Data Management: Manage basic aspects of the data management system with guidance from senior colleagues. This includes being responsible for developing or operating basic elements of the data management systems to deliver prescribed outcomes. </li><li>Technical Developments Recommendation: Discuss and recommend more complex or innovative technical developments to improve the quality of the website/portal/application software and supporting infrastructure to better meet users' needs. </li><li>Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an in-depth understanding of technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media. </li><li>Technical Troubleshooting: Manage technical troubleshooting projects, ensuring effective diagnosis of technical issues with equipment and experiments and the development of effective solutions. </li><li>Research: Achieve specific goals for a designated part of a research program. Involves working within established research systems. </li><li>Project Management: Deliver small- or medium-scale projects while working within an established program management plan. </li><li>Exploration Plan Development: Design and implementing complex exploration plans. </li><li>Client & Customer Management (External): Manage relationships with small clients while also helping senior colleagues manage relationships with larger key clients and customers. </li></ul> <p>What you will bring to the team:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering or relevant field of study </li><li>Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida is required, and ability and willingness to obtain additional state licensure by comity is a plus </li><li>Minimum 5 to 10 years of geotechnical engineering experience </li><li>Proven technical delivery as Engineer of Record </li><li>Proven project management experience </li><li>Proven client management and retention experience </li><li>Geotechnical lab experience (Atterberg Limits, proctors, grain size analysis, hydrometer, moisture content, LBR/CBR) </li><li>Deep foundation inspection experience desired, FDOT inspection certifications is a plus </li><li>QA/QC construction oversight experience </li><li>Willing to travel up to 25% of the time both locally and regionally with some overnight travel </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work both within a team and independently </li></ul> <p>#LI-JK1</p> <p>As a multicultural organization, we encourage individual achievement and recognize the strength of a diverse workforce.
