<p>East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) is seeking a part-time MIAA Coordinator that will coordinate all day-to-day activities to execute the Medicare Information Assistance & Awareness (MIAA) program also called the State Health Insurance Program (SHIP), including scheduling and staffing of Open Enrollment Events. This position will work 20 hours per week, preferred days Tuesday - Thursday.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Conduct assessments of client's insurance needs. </li><li>Educate and counsel Medicare beneficiaries regarding all choices and options. </li><li>Provide clients with resources and referrals for additional support. </li><li>Maintain materials to assist in explaining changes to Medicare and available options. </li><li>Track client information and data entry/report in STARS, SIRS, and IQ in a timely manner. </li><li>Provide timely narrative and detailed reports to grant funding agencies and EBCAP Leadership as required. </li><li>Cultivate and maintain relationships with agencies, that assist elderly/disabled seniors. </li><li>Recruit, train, and support a network of MIAA and Senior Medical Patrol (SMP) volunteers. </li><li>Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High School or equivalent required. </li><li>Annual Certification as a SHIP Counselor required. </li><li>Health Education Leader Certification required. </li></ul> <p>Benefits Package:</p> <p>EBCAP provides a comprehensive compensation and benefits package for full-time employees (30-40 hours/week) including:</p> <ul> <li>403(b) retirement plan with up to 3% company match </li><li>Generous paid time off (vacation, holidays, personal days, sick time) </li><li>Mileage reimbursement </li><li>Tuition reimbursement </li><li>Opportunities for center-paid training and CEUs </li><li>Employee assistance program </li></ul> <p>We welcome candidates from all backgrounds who are passionate about making a difference in our community.</p>
