<p>Job Title: Operations Technician</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>The Operations Technician position is integral to the management of biological specimens, samples, clinical agents, and materials from various commercial and government clients. The role involves handling these materials, which are stored at temperatures ranging from ambient to -20°C, and may possess potentially hazardous properties. The position requires using database applications and adhering to standard precautionary procedures. The individual must work independently, be self-directed, communicate effectively, and use sound judgment in decision-making. Interaction with clients, both internal and external, is conducted under the guidance of experienced professional or technical staff. Additionally, the role may include participation in kit assembly and label printing.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Receive, inventory, store, withdraw, and ship biological specimens, samples, clinical agents, and materials. </li><li>Manage materials stored at temperatures ranging from ambient to -20°C, ensuring safety and compliance with protocols. </li><li>Utilize database applications for tracking and managing inventory. </li><li>Adhere to standard precautionary procedures to ensure safety and compliance. </li><li>Interact with clients under the guidance of experienced staff. </li><li>Participate in kit assembly and label printing as required. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Experience with Cold Chain, Dry Ice, Liquid Nitrogen (LN2), and -80 Freezers is preferred. </li><li>Proficiency in using database applications for inventory management. </li><li>Ability to work independently and be self-directed. </li><li>Effective communication skills. </li><li>Sound judgment and decision-making skills. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Previous experience in a repository or kitting operations is advantageous. </li><li>Familiarity with GMP practices is beneficial. </li><li>Ability to manage potentially hazardous materials safely. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The position is based in a sterile warehouse environment, specifically within a repository equipped with freezers and liquid nitrogen tanks. The role operates on a 1st shift schedule from 8am to 5pm.
