<p>Function/Duties of Position</p> <ul> <li>Studies on ion channels/Molecular Biology. </li><li>Data analysis/maintaining laboratory notebook. </li><li>Manuscript preparation and assisting in grant writing. </li><li>Training other lab members. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>PhD in relevant field AND 1 year of relevant experience; OR</p> </li><li> <p>Master's Degree in relevant field AND 5 years of relevant experience; OR</p> </li><li> <p>Bachelor's Degree in relevant field AND 9 years of relevant experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated skills in electrophysiology.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated skills in functional measurements on ion channels.</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>PhD in Biophysics, Physiology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline.</p> </li><li> <p>1-5 years of experience in electrophysiology methods.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated Two electrode voltage clamp studies of ion channels expressed in oocytes</p> </li></ul> <p>Expertise in using patch clamp measurements of ion channels .</p> <p>Additional Details</p> <p>Individuals are expected to work on-site to conduct laboratory research, handling chemical and biological reagents. Research will be performed on the OHSU campus in Portland, OR.
