You're part of a whip-smart group of in-house lawyers and the projects and cases you take on challenge you to think differently. You will partner in initiatives that influence all aspects of the business and work with Googlers from all over the company. As an integrated part of the team, you proactively assess legal risks and advise on products that will not only move information into the 21st century, but move information law forward as well.</p> <p>You are an attorney who will oversee Google's response to requests for user data from public safety and similar agencies from around the world as part of Google's Data Disclosure Strategy Team in the legal department. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Learn more about benefits at Google.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Oversee the handling of legal process and requests for user data from government agencies, and work very closely with teams across Google. </li><li>Establish and enforce policies relating to disclosure requests to help advance our principles. </li><li>Communicate with government agencies concerning requirements in particular cases. </li><li>Work on relevant privacy initiatives. </li><li>Support the public policy, legal and communications team in handling data disclosure issues. </li></ul>
