<p>Job Summary The Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and helping prevent issues related to vehicle performance to ensure vehicles operate in a safe and reliable manner.</p> <p>Accountabilities & Responsibilities</p> <p>Works with the manager and other mechanics to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical components of vehicles.</p> <p>May perform test drives, inspections, and other diagnostic procedures on vehicles to identify issues and determine which parts require repair or replacement.</p> <p>Completes preventative maintenance on vehicles, including oil changes, fluid flushes and replacements, and brake replacement.</p> <p>Repairs vehicle body damage and may assist with washing and painting vehicle exteriors.</p> <p>Supports the development of repair timelines and estimates and discusses repair options with clients as needed.</p> <p>Inspects internal systems and controls to ensure vehicles are operating properly and in compliance with state regulations.</p> <p>Maintains accurate records related to clients, vehicles, parts, and service history.</p> <p>Uses shop equipment as instructed and performs regular maintenance and minor repairs on equipment as needed.</p> <p>Performs other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Experience & Education</p> <p>High School diploma or equivalent required.</p> <p>Minimum of two (2) years of automotive mechanic experience preferred.</p> <p>Knowledge & Skills</p> <p>Proven ability to diagnose and repair vehicles while following safety instructions and procedures.</p> <p>Proficiency with hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and other shop equipment.</p> <p>Excellent active listening, problem-solving, and communication skills.</p> <p>Ability to interact effectively with others, work collaboratively within a team environment, and maintain strong interpersonal relationships.</p> <p>Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.</p> <p>Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding work documents and conversations encountered during the performance of job duties.</p> <p>Ability to communicate professionally and diplomatically.</p> <p>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.</p> <p>No Immigration or work visa sponsorship for this position. #IND123RR #LI-C1</p>
