<p>Description</p> <p>Concept Solutions is hiring an Oracle Database Administrator to?provide support for the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Cyber Security efforts at the William J. Hughes Technical Center in Atlantic City, NJ. The FAA's E-OSE platform is central to the agency's infrastructure modernization strategy, providing shared hosting environments and cybersecurity monitoring for onboarded NAS systems. It requires detailed planning, risk tracking, and interagency coordination to ensure effective operations.</p> <p>The database administrator will support development, system implementation, updates, patching and coordination with the vendor. This position is contingent upon contract award.</p> <p>Responsible for the efficient and secure operations of the databases across the enterprise. The DBA works closely with system administrators, security engineers, and other IT professionals on the planning and implementation of security controls, application releases, database upgrades, application upgrades and other required systems maintenance activities.</p> <ul> <li>Provides guidance and supports the implementation of Oracle Database Appliance (ODA) features and services. </li><li>Provide Oracle DBA expertise on system performance tuning, capacity planning, and maintenance patching and new version installation. </li><li>Provide ongoing DBA management and/or improvement of activities related to a part or to the whole of the database technical infrastructure (e.g., as it relates to database, application, information systems, security, telecommunications networks, interoperability, etc.). </li><li>Responsible for security patches, vulnerabilities, and non-compliance configuration remediation </li><li>Responsible for designing database schemas, developing database scripts, performing database deployment duties, and post deployment support. </li><li>Ability to create storage database structures with high-level security features. </li><li>Supports the application/database development throughout the software life cycle from requirements analysis and design through to implementation and maintenance. </li><li>Support the installation, maintenance and database administration functions associated with the project. </li><li>Coordinate with the vendor on version upgrades. </li><li>Ability to demonstrate the proper techniques used for database backup and restoration, managing database performance and performing typical security lockdown procedures. </li><li>Deep experience in Extracting, Transforming, and Loading (ETL) to achieve larger programmatic data management goals. </li><li>The ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and, vice versa, translate functional needs to technical solutions. </li><li>Produce comprehensive system documentation </li><li>Adheres to the program's change management, configuration management, security management, and PMO processes </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Information Systems or related field </li><li>10+ years of Oracle DBA administration experience </li><li>8+ years of Core Oracle DBA experience </li><li>Oracle Database Administration Certification(s) </li><li>Experience working on Oracle Database Appliance (ODA) servers with end-to-end knowledge of ODA administration </li><li>Technical expertise and hands on experience as a database administrator of Oracle databases in all phases of the development lifecycle. </li><li>Experience manipulating multiple databases to identify anomalies and trends, or experience analyzing data or other information. </li><li>Experience drafting analytical or evaluative reports. </li><li>Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing, with diverse audiences. </li><li>Experience tracking and monitoring data, reports, and other information. </li><li>Experience with data entry, retrieval and maintenance of essential information in multiple databases. </li><li>Experience drafting status reports and analytical and evaluative reports. </li><li>Experience conducting research using search engines and other methods.? </li><li>U.S. Citizenship required; must have or be able to obtain a Secret clearance. </li></ul> <p>Company Profile:</p> <p>Founded in 1999 and headquartered in Reston, Virginia, Concept Solutions, LLC (CS) is a leading small business in technology, engineering, and management consulting.
