<p>Position Summary:</p> <p>In the position of Production Planning Manager, you will lead a team of production planners, drive operational excellence through strategic oversight, Key Performance Indicators (KPI) accountability, and cross-functional collaboration. Ensure seamless alignment between planning, production, and logistics by resolving escalations, optimizing resource allocation, and leading monthly performance reviews. With a focus on continuous improvement and talent development, the manager champions planning efficiency, fosters team growth, and contributes to long-term supply strategies that support business objectives.</p> <p>Essential Job Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Mentor and manage a team of production planners by setting clear expectations, providing coaching, and fostering a high-performance culture to elevate team capability and engagement. </li><li>Monitor planning KPIs, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions to ensure alignment with service, inventory, and efficiency targets. </li><li>Serve as the escalation point for high-impact planning challenges by applying analytical thinking and cross-functional coordination to deliver timely, effective solutions. </li><li>Lead structured monthly reviews to assess performance, identify gaps, and align on improvement initiatives with stakeholders across supply chain and operations. </li><li>Ensure planners have the tools, data, and cross-functional inputs needed to execute plans effectively and adapt to changing priorities. </li><li>Identify inefficiencies in planning workflows and lead initiatives to streamline processes, enhance system utilization, and improve agility. </li><li>Conduct training sessions and assess development needs to build technical and leadership skills, ensuring the team stays ahead of industry trends. </li><li>Contribute to long-term supply strategies and prepare executive-level reports that translate planning insights into business recommendations. </li></ul> <p>Position Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in the field of -- Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field. </li><li>Additional Experience Desired: More than 5 years of experience in production planning </li><li>Additional Experience Desired: More than 5 years of experience in product development to accurately forecast future production needs </li><li>Computer Skills Desired: Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and ERP software experience required (APO/SNP preferred). </li><li>Experience utilizing artificial intelligence tools a plus. </li><li>Preferred Certifications: APICS, CSCP or CPIM Certification desired </li><li>Additional Knowledge or Skills to be Successful in this role: Ability to multi-task, be organized, and have superior attention to detail. </li></ul> <p>Base Salary Range: $79,500 - $106,000</p>
