<p>Overview</p> <p>"You belong here with us at Bright Now Dental"</p> <p>We're looking for a Ortho Assistant professional who will work closely with our Dentist.</p> <p>Our commitment is in everything we do.</p> <p>Smile Brands is strongly rooted in encouraging and empowering people to branch out beyond their comfort zones.</p> <p>We believe in individual journeys of personal and professional discovery in an environment where people feel safe, supported, welcomed and seen.</p> <p>Schedule (days/hours)</p> <p>Monday-Friday 7am-3pm-Must have 2 yrs of Ortho experience</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Prepare patients for surgery, ensure comfort, and provide clear pre-op and post-op instructions. </li><li>Assist the oral surgeon during surgical procedures, including extractions, implants, bone grafts, and IV sedation cases . </li><li>Perform pre-op vital signs, patient assessments, airway evaluation, and sedation readiness checks. </li><li>Monitor patients undergoing IV sedation or general anesthesia under the surgeon's supervision (vitals, pulse oximetry, ETCO2, blood pressure, EKG). </li><li>Document anesthesia records accurately and in real time and maintain accurate clinical charting and assist with treatment coordination. </li><li>Prepare and sterilize surgical rooms, instruments, and equipment according to OSHA and infection-control standards. </li><li>Take digital X-rays, panoramic images, CBCT scans, and intraoral photos as needed. </li><li>Manage surgical instruments, trays, and inventory, ensuring accurate setup and turnover. </li><li>Support emergency response protocols and assist with complication management when needed. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Must have certs to be hired:</p> <ul> <li>EFODA </li><li>BLS certification </li><li>2 yrs of ortho experience </li><li>willing to travel with paid mileage </li></ul> <p>Compensation</p> <p>$31-$34/hr</p> <p>About Us</p> <p>Benefits are determined by employment status/hours worked and include paid time off ("PTO"), health, dental, vision, health savings account, telemedicine, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability insurance, employee discount programs, pet insurance, and a 401k plan.</p> <p>Smile Brands supports over 650 affiliated dental practices across 28 states all focused on a single mission of delivering Smiles For Everyone!
