This program includes all aspects of recreation: creative, intellectual, physical, service, social and spiritual. You will also be responsible for the supervision of the recreation coordinators on Assisted Living and the Health Care Center.</p> <p>All Goodwin Living team members are responsible for extending the mission and values of the organization by understanding the needs of those they serve. Each resident, staff member and community member will be treated in a dignified manner with respect, kindness, and understanding. Employees will subscribe to the organization's commitment to continuous improvement of quality and service.</p> <p>Key Duties</p> <ul> <li>Develops and coordinates recreation programs including in-house entertainment, birthday parties, trips, educational programs and classes, special events, etc. </li><li>Coordinates and monitors the documentation requirements for both the state and federal government, including assessment, MDS, care plans, progress note and service plans. </li><li>Solicits resident suggestions for programming. </li><li>Oversees program arrangements to ensure room, audiovisual and other needed or requested equipment for the success of programs. </li><li>Develops and posts event information via calendars, flyers and newsletter articles. </li><li>Assists and/or works with other staff members on special projects/programs. </li><li>Encourages resident and volunteer participation in programs. </li><li>Develops and maintains resource information for programming and documentation. </li><li>Monitors recreation supplies and equipment to ensure adequate availability and proper functioning. </li><li>Meets regularly with staff to foster communication and teamwork. </li><li>Develops and submits budget for overall recreation program; monitors expenditures for compliance with budgetary guidelines. </li><li>Tracks all programming in the HCC/AL/Terrace based on the 7 Dimensions of Wellness. </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in recreation related field from an accredited college or university, and/or certification as a CTRS, ACC, ADC or AAC, and/or 12 years experience working in recreation with older adults. </li><li>Minimum of 2 years experience in direct supervision of others. </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. </li><li>Must have computer skills in basic word processing. </li><li>Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with others. </li><li>CPR Certification and First Aid training required. </li></ul> <p>A sampling of our many benefits!</p> <p>We've got you covered with incredible benefits, whether you work full-time, part-time, or PRN (as needed).
