<p>PRIMARY PURPOSE:</p> <p>As a Cocktail Server, you will be responsible for excellent customer service by delivering food and alcoholic beverages throughout the casino ensuring an exceptional guest experience.</p> <p>Position Status: Part-Time</p> <p>Location: Gold Strike Casino</p> <p>PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Take orders and serve food and drinks efficiently and accurately in the work area as applicable. </li><li>Place orders, garnish, and serve cocktails to guests. </li><li>Maintain complete knowledge of menu items, liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic selections available. </li><li>Knowledge of hotel services, features, local attractions, and activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately. </li><li>Perform opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment including folding/stacking cocktail napkins, stock swizzle sticks, straws, matches, line cocktail trays, stock glassware, restock supply cabinet, inspect the cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas; rectify any deficiencies. </li><li>Resolve guest complaints within the scope of authority; otherwise, refer the matter to management, and/or notify the supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft. </li><li>Perform other job-related duties as requested. </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent. </li><li>Six (6) months of experience as a cocktail and/or food server in a similar environment. </li><li>Able to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of beverages on the menu, including characteristics of wine and champagne by the glass, major wines, liquor brands, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, terminology, and garnishes. </li><li>Highly motivated and energetic personality. </li><li>Able to take initiative and exhibit flexibility. </li><li>Excellent customer service skills as well as interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts. </li><li>Able to lead and mentor a team. </li></ul> <p>WORKING CONDITIONS:</p> <p>This position may require strenuous physical activities and exposure to pipe, cigar, and/or cigarette smoking.
