<p>Target Language Experts Nationwide</p> <p>JTG is currently seeking Target Language Experts in Arabic Yemeni, Chechen, Chinese Mandarin, Chinese Taiwanese (Minnan), French North African, Tajik</p> <p>Location: remote</p> <p>Timeline: approximately 10-15 hours per week over 3-4 weeks</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Select, review, transcribe (for audio passages), and translate short audio target-language passages from authentic sources at the required Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) level. </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Native or near-native proficiency in the language </li><li>Academic and/or professional background in linguistics, second language teaching, assessment, or translation </li><li>Technological capability of searching the Internet, recording, and editing audio files using software, and using Microsoft Office applications </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience with content selection for language proficiency development or assessment </li><li>Familiarity with the Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) language proficiency scale </li><li>Translation experience or familiarity with translation principles </li></ul> <p>Education: Bachelor's degree or higher</p> <p>This position reports to the Project Manager.</p> <p>Founded in 1995, JTG is an Employee-Owned Company that is specialized in language services, training, and analytics.
