We have over 2,300 people who are #HappyatFoley, and we think you will be too.</p> <p>The Intellectual Property (Patent) Paralegal will be responsible for managing client portfolios, including all filings and correspondence for both US, PCT, and foreign prosecution of assigned clients. This entails creating, revising, and filing of all prosecution documents in US and PCT applications, corresponding with foreign associates regarding all aspects of foreign prosecution, and timely reporting of official correspondence concerning the same. The position requires excellent attention to detail, strong organizational and prioritization skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be highly adaptable, proactive, and have a high level of analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. A strong working knowledge of Microsoft products and comfort level with technology are essential. The ability to work both independently and in a team environment is a must. Strong customer service orientation and oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with all tiers of personnel and clients are integral.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Support various intellectual property attorneys to provide excellent service to our clients </li><li>Prepare and file, or instruct, on all aspects of US, PCT, and foreign prosecution </li><li>Draft formality documents, attend to document legalization (where necessary), comply with priority document requirements </li><li>Review and maintain a docket of associated deadlines of assigned clients </li><li>Timely report official communications to the client and foreign associates </li><li>Consistently achieve 1500 billable hour requirement (including approved non-billable time) </li><li>Perform additional duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Minimum of four (4) years of experience in international, PCT, and US prosecution required</p> </li><li> <p>High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree and/or a paralegal certificate from a school approved by the ABA is preferred</p> </li><li> <p>If residing in California must meet requirements to be a Paralegal as defined by the State of California</p> </li><li> <p>Thorough knowledge of patent procedural requirements of USPTO practices required #LI-Hybrid</p> </li></ul> <p>In support of transparency and equity in the workplace, Foley provides salary ranges for all positions. The figures below represent the full compensation range of this position. The actual offered amount will be between the range minimum and midpoint based on the following factors: education, experience, geographic market, and internal pay equity at Foley.
