Would you like to join Apple's growing wireless silicon development team? Do you like to tackle problems? Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) space vehicles transmit the power of a lightbulb, they are 13,000 miles away and are moving four kilometers per second. The received signals are commonly one hundred times weaker than cosmic microwave background radiation left over from the Big Bang and arrive next to interfering signals ten billion times stronger, just few MHz away.

Our GNSS team is part of Apple's wireless SOC team. We are a vertically coordinated engineering team spanning RF, mixed signal analog design, Systems Engineering, RTL design, Design Verification, firmware and software engineering, test, and validation. Our focus is on highly energy efficient and robust GNSS receiver design. We develop GNSS technology that touches hundreds of millions of lives, something we are passionate about. We'd like you to consider being a part of our team!In this role, you will be at a technical leadership role of our design team, defining signal processing architectures, developing physical-layer algorithms and implementations. Your work will enable exceptional GNSS performance, balancing ultra-low power efficiency where possible with unparalleled robustness when required. Your daily work includes the following tasks:

Architect the key GNSS signal processing platform, algorithms, and technology roadmaps.

Lead and mentor the team members to drive innovation in GNSS receiver technologies, targeting outstanding performance and enabling groundbreaking applications in portable and wearable consumer electronics.

Identify and prioritize key GNSS technical areas and issues for the team to focus on.

Work closely with digital design and firmware teams to convert algorithms into detailed design specifications and test vectors, lead all aspects of their implementation and verification.

Analyze the lab and field-testing results and coordinate with multi-functional teams to debug and resolve problems effectively.MSEE or beyond is preferred. 20+ years of proven experiences in GNSS baseband signal processing. Proficiency with wireless communications system modeling, estimation theory and Kalman filter. Proven programming skills. Healthy combination of innovation attitude and understanding of practical constraints of product development. Excellent communication skills, both written u0026 verbal especially in a multi-functional environment.Array
