This position plays a key role in maintaining high-quality pharmacy services, with flexibility required to respond to staffing needs as they arise.</p> <p>Essential Job Duties</p> <ul> <li>Create pharmacy charts for patients establishing care with NHC Pharmacy. </li><li>Enter and update patient information in the pharmacy record for pharmacist review. </li><li>Assist the pharmacist on duty in filling prescription orders accurately and efficiently. </li><li>Deliver prescriptions to patients' homes after pharmacist counseling and release. </li><li>Enter and bill pharmacy insurance plans for dispensed prescriptions. </li><li>Coordinate and schedule prescription deliveries to patients. </li><li>Collect payment from patients for dispensed prescriptions when required. </li><li>Maintain on-site pharmacy inventory and associated records. </li><li>Order, receive, and check in medications and supplies from vendors. </li><li>Review stock and remove expired medications in compliance with policy. </li><li>Answer incoming phone calls and direct inquiries to the pharmacist on duty as needed. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul>
