<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Duties/Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Identifies long and short-term individual student learning objectives, prepares and writes lesson plans, provides all necessary instruction and assesses student performance. Selects appropriate learning materials including texts, tests, supplements, audiovisual materials and other media </li><li>Develops and maintains a safe and nurturing environment for all learners </li><li>Provides instruction to students using methods and activities which best meet predetermined objectives using scientifically research based resources </li><li>Facilitates student growth in developmental, affective and cognitive domains by promoting student participation in the learning experience, promoting analytical thinking, teaching effective work habits and study skills and providing opportunities for individual achievement </li><li>Interacts with students, parents, LEA and other personnel to ensure accomplishment of educational goals. </li><li>Comply with all company policies and procedures </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Additional Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent. </li></ul> <p>Note: The above description is illustrative of tasks and responsibilities. It is not meant to be all inclusive of every task or responsibility.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Requires BS/BA degree in Special Education with emphasis in appropriate discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
