<p>Overview</p> <p>Kimley-Horn's Los Angeles office is seeking a Environmental Planner with 4+ years of experience to join their Environmental Planning team! This is not a remote position.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Prepare Environmental Quality Act documents, environmental impact reports, and negative and mitigated negative declarations </li><li>Assist in Specific Plans, Master Plans, and other environmental or planning policy documents in support of a full range of infill and/or land development related projects </li><li>Perform a variety of tasks, supporting various project managers and collaborating with team members. </li><li>Will likely gain expertise in: Sustainability, climate action planning, ENVISION, LEED, and Salmon-Safe </li><li>Environmental clearance associated with local comprehensive plans/local land use planning </li><li>Working with infrastructure projects from across industries such as transportation, transit, land planning, aviation </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Degree (Bachelors or Masters) in Environmentlal Planning (or other degree applicable to the planning field) </li><li>4+ years of experience conducting environmental studies for local agencies and private entities </li><li>American Institute of Certified Planner (AICP) Certification Preferred </li><li>Experience with a wide range of tasks related to environmental planning </li><li>Understanding of the agencies involved with the Environmental Quality Act process as well as the state's Land Planning Law </li><li>Experience with NEPA compliance is a plus </li><li>Strong writing/verbal skills </li><li>Working knowledge of GIS/ArcView </li><li>Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills </li><li>Positive attitude and a strong work ethic </li><li>Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines </li><li>Detail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment </li><li>Ability to work independently and as a team </li></ul> <p>Salary Range:</p> <p>$100,000 - $150,000</p> <p>Why Kimley-Horn?</p> <p>At Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
