<p>Job Title: Tool & Die Designer</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are seeking a talented Tool & Die Designer to develop designs for single-stage or progressive dies used in stamping and forming metal parts that align with customer production and part print specifications. You will be responsible for creating a uniform CAD database suitable for the construction of die components using current CAD software.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Develop designs for single-stage or progressive dies to meet customer specifications. </li><li>Create a uniform CAD database using current CAD software for die component construction. </li><li>Perform initial design review with Project Manager and Estimator to formulate a design plan. </li><li>Consult with team leaders in CNC, CNC Programming, WEDM, and Grind for manufacturing methods. </li><li>Design dies to proper revision level part print and document revision levels in the control database. </li><li>Create bill of materials for die construction and monitor material costs against budget. </li><li>Document important notations and benchmark dates in the job shop control system. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Tool & Die design experience, preferably 2+ years. </li><li>Hands-on background in tool and die making or tool design. </li><li>Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar CAD software. </li><li>Computer literacy with operational knowledge of Microsoft Office and Job Shop Control Software. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience with estimating software. </li><li>Strong desire to transition into a design role from a hands-on tool and die background. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This opportunity is with an established local Tool & Die manufacturing shop in Nashville that has been in business for decades.
