<p>Client Service Leader</p> <p>Career Area: Client Services</p> <p>What We're Looking For:</p> <p>The Client Service Leader is responsible for fostering long-term relationships between Barge and public clients, primarily in the water, transportation, and civil markets. This role also leads business development efforts in the Memphis area. By maintaining close communication with Project Managers and team members, the Client Service Leader ensures projects are executed according to defined plans, quality standards, and client expectations. This position combines deep professional proficiency with business acumen to enhance financial results.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Strategic Relationship Building: Develop and execute strategies to support the Memphis region by establishing strong relationships with directors and subject matter specialists. Engage in reconnaissance, pursuits, and securing of work. </li><li>Proactive Workforce Planning: Identify opportunities through seeking new clients, estimating opportunity costs, and executing workforce planning initiatives. </li><li>Growth and Profitability: Develop and implement plans to achieve growth and financial profitability by securing contracts. </li><li>Marketing Collaboration: Work with marketing to complete go/stop analysis and develop winning plans. </li><li>Proposal Development: Lead the development of proposals, collaborating with Project Managers to identify scope, schedule, and budget negotiations. </li><li>Company Representation: Represent Barge at various events, including client events and industry trade associations. </li><li>Project Monitoring: Maintain communication with teams to monitor project progress, ensure client engagement, and lead conflict resolution. </li><li>Technical Support: Occasionally provide technical support to ensure successful deliveries. </li><li>Office Leadership: Manage office leadership responsibilities to ensure company information is communicated and local office needs are resolved. </li><li>CRM Maintenance: Ensure CRM system is maintained and updated. </li><li>Cost Management: Actively work to minimize business development costs. </li></ul> <p>Education & Experience Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree from an accredited program. </li><li>Minimum 10 Years of Experience in the Architecture & Engineering (A&E) industry with proven success in project management. </li><li>Proven experience in client service and business development within the water, transportation, and civil markets. </li><li>Strong communication and leadership skills. </li><li>Ability to develop strategic relationships and execute growth plans. </li><li>Proficiency in CRM systems and workforce planning. </li><li>Technical expertise in project management and proposal development. </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated success working with public and private sector clients. </li><li>Expertise in developing government contracts and collaborating with local private developers, community, and industrial development organizations. </li></ul> <p>Professional Network:</p> <ul> <li>Established network in West Tennessee. </li></ul> <p>Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Strong client relationship skills and technical credibility. </li><li>In-depth knowledge of industry practices, Barge procedures, and strategies to promote regional business unit goals. </li><li>Understanding of regional organization structures, municipal, and county operations. </li><li>Ability to make strategic business decisions that positively impact the geographic market. </li><li>Effective communication of specialized information to senior leadership and external stakeholders. </li><li>Ability to steer and persuade clients and employees towards favorable and ethical outcomes for the company. </li></ul> <p>Why join us?</p> <p>Barge Design Solutions, Inc., is an engineering and architecture firm with diverse in-house multidisciplinary practice areas.
