Our culture in Risk Management and Compliance is all about thinking outside the box, challenging the status quo and striving to be best-in-class.</p> <p>As a Regional Manager in the Appraisal Department, you will oversee all appraisal activities within your designated region, ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements. You will manage a team of state-licensed/certified real estate appraisers, promoting professional growth and maintaining high-quality standards. Your role involves active communication and collaboration with senior managers to support strategic initiatives and ensure market awareness.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Oversee all appraisal activities within the region, supporting the Area Appraisal Manager in executing department strategy and processes. </li><li>Ensure appraisal services are completed within expected service level agreements and meet the bank's quality standards. </li><li>Manage state-licensed/certified real estate appraisers and support staff, promoting professional growth and expertise. </li><li>Ensure compliance with the bank's appraisal policies, FIRREA, USPAP, and financial regulatory agency requirements. </li><li>Implements and monitors the Bank's quality control process for real estate appraisals in conformance with Bank and Regulatory Agencies' safety and soundness requirements. </li><li>Stay informed on local, regional, national, and international events and trends impacting real estate values in assigned markets. </li><li>Represent the department and consult with senior managers in credit, sales, review, and portfolio monitoring as appropriate. </li><li>Lead regular team meetings to ensure a cohesive understanding of best practices, change events, collaborative solutions, and consistency. </li><li>Actively communicate to promote a collaborative, inclusive workplace and proactive culture. Communicate findings on global issues to relevant stakeholders. </li><li>Hire, train, and support the ongoing expansion of professional expertise among appraisal staff. </li></ul> <p>Required qualifications, capabilities and skills</p> <ul> <li>Requires a minimum 4-year college degree. </li><li>A State Certified General Appraiser License. </li><li>Minimum 10 years' experience appraising and or reviewing appraisals of multi-family and/or commercial properties. </li><li>Ability to analyze properties with extremely complex characteristics. </li><li>Experience performing or reviewing appraisals for financial institutions. </li><li>Prior management experience or demonstrated leadership qualities. </li><li>Strong analytical, business writing and oral communication skills are a must. </li><li>Strong critical thinking and problem solving. </li><li>Computer/technology knowledge is required as well as a proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook (Microsoft Office Suite). Proficiency in Discounted Cash Flow Analysis. </li><li>Deep knowledge of local real estate metro areas and neighborhoods. Continual development of local market knowledge and national real estate trends is required. </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills</p> <ul> <li>MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute is preferred. </li><li>Well-seasoned real estate appraisal expert who wants to bring their significant expertise and knowledge to a team that specializes in multifamily and commercial appraisal assignments, with a strong emphasis on multifamily product ranging from 5 to 500 units </li></ul> <p>FEDERAL DEPOSIT INSURANCE ACT: This position is subject to Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
