This role ensures seamless operation across equipment, people, materials, and technology to drive efficiency, quality, and scalability. The engineer plays a key role in implementing lean principles, data-driven decision-making, and smart manufacturing initiatives.</p> <p>What Youll Do</p> <ul> <li>Design and improve end-to-end production systems, including material flow, layout, and process integration. </li><li>Analyze production performance data to identify system inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities. </li><li>Lead the implementation of lean manufacturing principles, standard work, and continuous improvement projects. </li><li>Support factory automation and smart manufacturing technologies, including data collection and system monitoring tools. </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, IT, Maintenance, Quality, Production) to ensure seamless integration of new systems and process changes. </li><li>Participate in new product introduction (NPI) and ensure production systems are ready for scale-up. </li><li>Develop metrics and dashboards to track system performance (OEE, throughput, takt time, etc.). </li><li>Optimize ERP/MES interface with production systems to ensure accurate scheduling, traceability, and reporting. </li><li>Ensure all systems comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards. </li></ul> <p>What Youll Bring</p> <ul> <li>Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field. </li><li>3+ years of experience in manufacturing systems, operations engineering, or production process improvement. </li><li>Strong knowledge of production workflows, value stream mapping, and system-level thinking. </li><li>Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Power BI) and simulation/modeling software (e.g., Arena, FlexSim). </li><li>Familiarity with MES, ERP, and manufacturing automation systems. </li><li>Experience leading cross-functional projects and driving change in production environments. </li><li>Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills </li><li>Lean Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt). </li><li>Experience with Industry 4.0 technologies (IoT, digital twins, predictive maintenance). </li><li>Background in discrete manufacturing or high-mix/low-volume production environments. </li><li>Experience in plant layout and systems integration for new or expanding facilities. </li></ul> <p>Working Environment and Physical Demands</p> <ul> <li>Willing to, and able to frequently move materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds for various reasons. </li><li>Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time. </li><li>Must be able to move about inside and outside of equipment, warehouse and office space and position oneself to work on the equipment. </li><li>Will frequently operate hand and power tools, computers and other office equipment. </li><li>Occasionally ascend/descend a ladder to access high places on the equipment,Valid drivers license and clean driving record. </li><li>Ability to travel by vehicle or airplane, domestically. </li></ul> <p>What We Offer</p> <p>The salary range for this role is $93,500-105,400 USD; however, Packsize considers several factors when determining compensation when extending a job offer, including but not limited to, the role being offered, the associated responsibilities, the candidate's prior work experience, education/training, and any special skills.</p> <p>If this role excites you but you dont meet each requirement listed, we encourage you to apply anyway.
