<p>Overview</p> <p>This is a virtual role open to candidates working from Oregon or Washington. While the position is primarily virtual, there may be occasions when on-site work is required at a designated Legacy Health location.</p> <p>All new hires are required to travel to a Legacy Health office in Portland, Oregon prior to their start date to complete a new-hire health assessment and new-hire paperwork. Leveraging your strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, you will contribute to the success of the accounting department while continuing to grow your career.</p> <p>Staff Accountant II:</p> <ul> <li>Staff Accountant II is responsible for preparing and recording financial activity for assigned entities, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting. </li><li>Analyzes revenue and expense activity and prepares month-end accrual and prepaid entries. </li><li>Prepares materials for month-end close meetings and presents results of operations to senior management. </li><li>Prepares financial statements for various programs within assigned entities and provide clear documentation and analysis. </li><li>Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including cash, and investigates and resolves variances and discrepancies. </li><li>Apply knowledge of accounting principles and practices to complete detailed accounting tasks. </li><li>Assists internal and external auditors and stakeholders, supports budget staff in developing budgets, communicates with Finance partners and management, and participates in special projects as needed. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent major or equivalent experience. </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Three to five years of previous experience in accounting and financial statement preparation or one to three years of public accounting experience. </li></ul> <p>Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to work independently with strong problem-solving skills. </li><li>Ability to communicate ideas, plans, and directions effectively verbally and in writing. </li><li>Proficiency in intermediate PC spreadsheet abilities and in interfacing with complex computerized accounting systems. </li></ul> <p>Pay Range</p> <p>USD $38.55 - USD $47.93 /Hr.</p> <p>Our Commitment to Health and Equal Opportunity</p> <p>Our Legacy is good for health for Our People, Our Patients, Our Communities, Our World.
