This role assists with preventative maintenance tasks, repairs, and general upkeep, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for guests and staff.</p> <p>Essential Functions and Duties:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provide professional and courteous service at all times.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with maintenance and preventative maintenance tasks, including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, A/C units, and hotel equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor electric, gas, and water consumption and report issues as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure all maintenance projects are completed on time and according to specifications.</p> </li><li> <p>Practice safety procedures, including lockout-tagout, in accordance with OSHA standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform preventative maintenance in guest rooms and public areas as scheduled.</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct maintenance checks of equipment and properly log findings.</p> </li><li> <p>Report all safety and security concerns to the Chief Engineer or Manager on Duty immediately.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain key inventory and ensure security procedures are followed.</p> </li><li> <p>Respond to emergency situations and assist as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in ongoing maintenance programs for event spaces, public areas, and hotel equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain cleanliness and organization of workspaces and storage areas.</p> </li></ul> <p>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.</p> <p>Required Experience, Education, and Skills:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Basic knowledge of maintenance systems, including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, and electrical systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with safety procedures, including lockout-tagout, is preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a timely manner.</p> </li></ul> <p>Work Environment:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Work involves both indoor and outdoor environments, with exposure to varying temperatures.</p> </li><li> <p>Frequent walking, standing, and lifting of objects up to 50 lbs.</p> </li><li> <p>Exposure to noise, vibration, and mechanical equipment during maintenance tasks.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required, with potential on-call responsibilities for emergencies.</p> </li></ul> <p>Other Duties:</p> <p>Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the team member for this job.
