Coordinate drug management and fulfillment support of multi-disciplinary clinic operations departments.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Accurately retrieve medications required to fulfill medication orders </li><li>Demonstrate professional competency in reviewing orders for appropriateness and accuracy </li><li>Demonstrate proficiency in performing mathematical calculations required for determining drug dilution and final concentrations </li><li>Aseptically prepare drug solutions and products </li><li>Maintain admixture area in accordance with clean room guidelines </li><li>Interprets the appropriateness of a medication order before preparing the medication. </li><li>Evaluate critical patient information prior to beginning admixture according to policy and procedure. </li><li>Maintain knowledge of all policies and procedures related to cleaning procedures and schedules </li><li>Accurately perform inventory management and cleaning procedures </li><li>Maintain inventory levels and logs as per protocols </li><li>Receive inventory and oversee dispensing of all drugs </li><li>Collaborate with the extended healthcare team in clinic regarding patient care activities </li><li>Maintain all relevant clinical logs (i.e., cleaning, controlled substance, respirator, etc.) </li><li>Serve as a drug information resource to clinical staff </li><li>Effectively retrieve and utilize chemotherapy spill kits </li><li>Follows all safety standards for handling chemotherapy and other hazardous drugs. </li><li>Keep in good standing required license and certification </li><li>Complete on time assigned continuing education and competencies.
