<p>Job Title: Project Accountant (Construction)</p> <p>Location: Vancouver, WA</p> <p>Job Type: Full-Time, Contract (3-6 months), Fully Onsite</p> <p>Salary: $35-$43 an hour DOE</p> <p>We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Accountant to support our client's team in maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing compliance with accounting standards, and driving financial insights. This is a contract role ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings a proactive approach to process improvement and reporting accuracy.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance </li><li>Perform and review complex account reconciliations </li><li>Lead month-end and year-end closing activities </li><li>Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP </li><li>Support internal and external audits by providing timely and accurate documentation </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting </li><li>Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes </li><li>Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and internal controls </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred) </li><li>3+ years of relevant accounting experience, including some staff/senior-level responsibility in a construction environment (required) </li><li>Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) </li><li>Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills </li><li>Strong communication and leadership abilities </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <p>Benefits vary depending on employer.</p> <p>Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
