Together we are at the forefront of technology and innovation, and we invite passionate, collaborative, and motivated high performers to join our expanding team.</p> <p>What We're Looking For</p> <p>The Bank is seeking an experienced AVP, Consumer Compliance, Fair & Responsible Banking, Fair Lending. This position will oversee and manage the team's quality control function, which includes a thorough review of data quality testing, data validation, API sandbox/production testing, data field mapping, marginal loan analysis, and fair lending analytics reports. Additionally, this position will assist the Fair & Responsible Banking team with tactically creating fair lending analytics methods and processes, while maintaining compliance regulations, for complex application and model uses that the Bank's Fintech partners use in underwriting and pricing.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Conduct comprehensive reviews of team members' reports, ensuring adherence to established internal procedures, methodologies, and regulatory requirements. </li><li>Provide constructive feedback to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. </li><li>Assist with annual and ad-hoc training for team members to ensure standardization and adherence to internal procedures. </li><li>Ability to understand Fintech partner products, models, policies, procedures, application flow, and systematical flows. Maintain quality control over all critical data elements (CDE) that the Bank is requesting from its partners. </li><li>Succinctly and clearly communicate intricate fact patterns to others by understanding complex business models that involve multiple products, investor programs, and tri-party banking relationships. </li><li>Evaluate data quality, identifying and documenting any inconsistencies, errors, or anomalies. Maintain quality control over all data files received for fair lending practices. </li><li>Oversee and perform rigorous data validation mappings to confirm the accuracy and completeness of data sets. Maintain quality control over all data validation processes. </li><li>Collaborate with Fair Banking Analytics and Data Science teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions. </li><li>Contribute to the development and enhancement of data management processes and quality standards by maintaining quality control documentation, including checklists, guidelines, and reporting mechanisms. </li><li>Understand evolving fair lending regulations and industry best practices to ensure quality control processes remain effective and compliant. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in a financial field (e.g. Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics) required. </li><li>5+ years industry experience in finance/banking with knowledge of credit underwriting for products such as consumer, commercial, installment, revolving, and credit cards. </li><li>Prior supervisor or team lead role by managing team's output and providing clear feedback for success. </li><li>Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, with the ability to perform analyses using Excel, data science reports, JSON scripts, and application source documentation. </li><li>Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences. </li><li>Ability to work independently to produce high quality work products. </li><li>Demonstrate strong problem-solving, conceptual, written, verbal, and attention to detail skills. Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. </li><li>Maintain strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills; ability to complete multiple concurrent tasks within close deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and detail. </li><li>Quickly learn project and change management tools (e.g. monday.com, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint). </li><li>Understanding of U.S. Fair Lending and Fair Banking-related laws and regulations, including, but not limited to, the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA/Reg B), Unfair, Deceptive and Abusive Act and Practices (UDAAP), and the Fair Housing Act (FHA). </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Technical experience at a level where you can enable client troubleshooting, specifically using API UI's, Swagger, and Postman. </li><li>Skilled in sending requests to APIs and analyzing the responses. Ability to read and interpret JSON scripts, SQL queries, etc. </li><li>2+ years managing or leading a team in a finance or data related role. </li><li>1+ year experience working for a FinTech in a high-paced environment. </li><li>1+ year experience in conducting fair lending statistical analysis for a bank. </li><li>HMDA or CRA data scrubbing and reporting. </li><li>Demonstrate an understanding of testing methodology, business processes, control frameworks, and related regulatory and compliance standards. </li></ul> <p>#LI-JJ1 #LI-Hybrid #LI-Onsite</p> <p>Salary Range: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00</p> <p>Cross River is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
