<p>Description</p> <p>This is a Union facility</p> <p>Candidate Must Be Able to Work the Following Shifts:</p> <p>Day Shift - 7:00am - 3:00pm</p> <p>Swing Shift - 3:00pm - 11:00pm</p> <p>Graveyard Shift - 11:00pm - 7:00am</p> <p>Role:</p> <p>This position is responsible for contributing to the day-to-day functions. The Operator will be able to recognize and correct or report any safety, quality or production issues utilizing the means and tools provided. This is a full hands-on position with limited supervision that requires initiative and a self-driven approach. It is the expectation to follow instructions and work constructively to ensure shipment deadlines are met and unloading is conducted within the guidelines given. This position is responsible for following all safety procedures and having the courage to intervene when observing unsafe practices by co-workers. This position is also responsible for a prominent level of quality, productivity, and superior housekeeping. The operator will be in contact with the lead person, shipping department and with customer service. The operator needs to ensure that loads are accurate and damage free. All incoming loads will have to be offloaded in a timely manner and put into the correct location.</p> <p>Essential Duties Include :</p> <p>Work related experience in loading and unloading while following established safety procedures.</p> <p>Must pass all LOTT training.</p> <p>Must know how to drive a forklift and a roll clamp.</p> <p>Must perform daily lift checks.</p> <p>Willing to work all shifts and weekends as needed.</p> <p>Demonstrates basic knowledge of operating systems.</p> <p>Strong work ethics, good judgment, and decision-making skills</p> <p>Perform well with limited direct supervision.</p> <p>Must keep accurate counts when loading and unloading.</p> <p>Assist in taking inventory when required.</p> <p>Excellent housekeeping inside the warehouse and outside the docks</p> <p>Must flex with the plant as needed.</p> <p>Be a positive example of citizenship (behavior, attendance, attitude, etc.)</p> <p>Maintain a good working relationship with the people you work with</p> <p>Lockout procedures must be followed as specified in Safety Manual and operators must sign off on all JSA's and Lockout Procedures</p> <p>Must maintain excellent housekeeping inside the department and outside the docks.
