<p>PeaceHealth is seeking a Cancer Registrar for a Per Diem/Relief, Day position.</p> <p>The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $28.73 - $43.09.</p> <p>The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.</p> <p>This position will be performed fully remote. If telecommuting, PeaceHealth will provide the caregiver with necessary computer equipment. It is the responsibility of the caregiver to provide Internet access.</p> <ul> <li>Must reside in Washington, Oregon, or Alaska. </li></ul> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Maintains requirements for data collection by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons. Provides office support for the Community Cancer Program and/or Tumor Conferences as applicable and needed.</p> <p>Details of the Position:</p> <ul> <li>Compiles screening reports and completes case-finding based on current inclusion standards. </li><li>Abstracts cancer cases from hospital, pathology, medical oncology, radiation therapy, and other medical records according to the current Standards for Oncology Registry Entry (STORE). </li><li>Runs and interprets standard reports to monitor operations of the electronic cancer registry. </li><li>Queries the electronic database as assigned for quality improvement and review projects per Commission on Cancer standards and cancer committee requests. </li><li>Correctly translates ICD-10-CM and ICD-0-3 codes into STORE (Standards for Oncology Registry Entry) codes. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>What you bring:</p> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Associate Degree Required: Medical Records or Sciences or related field or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training and experience </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>Preferred: Tumor Registry experience </li></ul> <p>Credentials</p> <ul> <li>Required: within 1 Year Certified Tumor Registrar Oncology Data Specialist (effective 1/1/2024 the cert previously known as CTR was renamed ODS) </li></ul> <p>Skills</p> <ul> <li> <p>Proficient with MS Office applications. (Required)</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledgeable in automated database management and associated HIPAA standards. (Required)</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrates knowledge of Commission on Cancer (COC) standards for data collection and management. (Required)</p> </li><li> <p>Fluency with terminology related to the cancer disease process, diagnosis, treatment and outcomes.
