<p>Description</p> <p>The Northern Region Parks Division, part of the Maryland-National Capital Park & Planning Commission, administers over 52,000 acres of stream valley parks, regional parks, neighborhood parks, and park-school recreation areas throughout Montgomery and Prince George's counties. We have an immediate need for a Seasonal Warehouse/Inventory Assistant. Under the direction of the Stockroom Clerical Inventory Supervisor, you'll support general warehouse and inventory operations.</p> <p>Work Hours: 5:45 am - 2:30 pm</p> <p>Examples of Important Duties</p> <ul> <li> <p>Receive, unload, and store materials using manual and electric pallet jacks, carts, and forklifts</p> </li><li> <p>Count and sort shipments to verify receipt against receiving documents</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain stock by shelving, labeling, and clearing debris</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct physical inventory counts</p> </li><li> <p>Respond to warehouse inquiries via email, phone, and in person</p> </li><li> <p>Input and reconcile inventory data using computer systems; report discrepancies</p> </li><li> <p>Perform stockroom housekeeping duties (sweeping, trash removal)</p> </li><li> <p>Operate forklifts and, when required, standard trucks for material delivery and pickup</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with order fulfillment as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Frequently lift items weighing 20 lbs. or more</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Previous warehouse or stockroom experience</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, email) and office equipment, including copiers</p> </li><li> <p>Strong oral and written communication skills</p> </li></ul> <p>Supplemental Information</p> <ul> <li> <p>Frequent standing, walking, ladder use, and manual material handling (up to 49 lbs.) in indoor and outdoor environments</p> </li><li> <p>Position may require work in varying weather conditions</p> </li><li> <p>A criminal background investigation will be completed prior to hire</p> </li><li> <p>May be subject to medical, drug, and alcohol testing</p> </li></ul> <p>The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
