Please include your résumé and cover letter with your application.</p> <p>Upon acceptance of offer, we will coordinate new hire paperwork and pre-employment substance abuse screening (Drug Free Employer).</p> <p>Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Perform a variety of tasks that may include periodically having to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods of time, stretch, walk, climb and bend under potentially adverse field conditions. Be able to follow safety protocol, which includes being able to perform visual tasks such as back up spotting and hear and react to back up alarms </li><li>Monitor and schedule crew productions and understand goals </li><li>Ensure compliance with all safety policies and OSHA regulations </li><li>Lead by example in the areas of safety, work product and work ethic. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>A minimum of 5 years' experience in bridge, general heavy highway and/or marine construction </li><li>8+ years experience preferred </li><li>A minimum of 3-5 years' supervisory experience </li><li>Strong attention to detail </li><li>Excellent communication skills </li><li>Analytical and problem-solving skills </li><li>Great interpersonal skills and ability to work well independently and as part of a team </li><li>Must have a valid driver's license or reliable transportation to report to work on time </li><li>Must have proficient knowledge of NYSDOT and/or VTrans (Vermont) standard specification as it relates to bridge and general civil construction </li><li>Must be willing to travel </li><li>Must pass a pre-employment drug screen </li></ul> <p>Compensation:</p> <p>Competitive wage commensurate with experience.
