<p>Reporting to the CEO, the Controller oversees the Office and Administration team at the JCC. The Controller is charged with managing our financial operations in a way that reflects best practices in the field and supports decision making leadership at the institution.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Accounting & Administrative </li><li>Responsible for the administration and management of the accounting department </li><li>Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements </li><li>Oversight of all functions including: </li><li>Accounts payable </li><li>Accounts receivable </li><li>Cash Management </li><li>Finance </li><li>Responsible for departmental and agency budget development and management </li><li>Create budgets and forecasts </li><li>Play key role in developing agency wide financial and operational policies </li><li>Monitoring purchasing procedures </li><li>Oversight of accounting and software systems </li><li>Oversight and review of all agency rental agreements and other agency contracts with outside vendors and contractors </li><li>Identify opportunities for cost savings </li><li>Implement and maintain strong internal control environment </li><li>Prepare monthly and annual financial statements </li><li>Manage the annual audit by external auditors </li><li>Prepare monthly management report analyzing variances of actual results from budget Supervision </li><li>Oversight of all Office and Administrative staff. This includes hiring, training and supervision </li><li>Provide the information necessary for all department heads to have the tools which are necessary for them to manage the financial aspects of their department </li><li>Senior Staff </li><li>Provide leadership to senior staff on financial and administrative operations of the agency </li><li>Serve as part of the senior management of the agency by providing input to help guide the operations and direction of the center </li><li>Provide and/or assist other executive staff with preparation of key operating statistics to monitor their area of operations </li><li>Board and Committees </li><li>Prepare briefings and reports for board and executive committee meetings as necessary </li><li>Provide information and insight to staff leadership and Treasurer on the financial operations of the JCC </li><li>Prepare the Treasurer to present monthly and year end reports to the board </li><li>Attend the finance committee and the audit committee </li><li>Prepare agendas with the Treasurer of finance committee & Chair of audit committee </li><li>Maintain minutes of all meetings </li><li>Guide the finance committee through the annual budget process </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance and accounting </li><li>Knowledge of nonprofit accounting </li><li>Proficiency with Office 365 </li><li>Knowledge of accounting software like Sage </li></ul> <p>Benefits and Compensation:</p> <ul> <li>$60,000 - $80,000 annual salary </li><li>Incentive package to be negotiated </li><li>Flexible schedule and remote work available </li><li>Suite of benefits including medical, retirement, etc. </li><li>Free membership to the Kaiserman JCC </li><li>Generous discounts on Kaiserman JCC programming, including preschool, camp, and other offerings </li></ul> <p>Kaiserman JCC Competencies:</p> <ul> <li>Hardworking </li><li>Relationally oriented </li><li>Customer centric </li><li>Prioritize the best interest of the agency </li></ul> <p>Kaiserman JCC Mission and Values:</p> <p>Since 1971, the Kaiserman JCC has worked to advance and enrich life in Philadelphia.
