Responsibilities include delivering instructional lesson plans and classroom routines with accuracy, using a student-centered approach to teaching, for elementary students.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to deliver instructional lesson plans and classroom routines with accuracy, using a student-centered approach to teaching. </li><li>Effective communication skills to instruct students in a clear, understandable, and supportive manner. </li><li>Effective classroom management skills. </li><li>Capable of keeping accurate attendance and classroom records. </li><li>Good organization and problem solving skills. </li></ul> <p>Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Provide instruction to students through the school day. </li><li>Attend all after-school faculty and other meetings, as required. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Required: Minimum NYS Initial or Intern Teaching Certification </li><li>NYSED Fingerprint Clearance </li><li>Experience working with children in a classroom setting </li></ul> <p>Employment Terms:</p> <p>Days: 186 days per school year</p> <p>Hours: 8:15 AM - 3:15 PM, 30 min lunch</p> <p>Salary: $200 per diem</p> <p>Health Insurance: Single Coverage included (for certified individuals only)</p> <p>Prerequisite:</p> <p>Fingerprint Clearance: SAVE Law: Effective July 1, 2001, Education Law §§305(30), 3004-b, 3004-c and 3035, as amended by Chapter 180 of the Laws of 2000, and Part 87 of the Commissioner's Regulations require the Commissioner of Education to request a fingerprint-supported criminal history background check for applicants for certification as well as for prospective employees of school districts, charter schools and boards of cooperative educational services (BOCES).
