<p>Position Summary</p> <p>This position serves as the reimbursement specialist for the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King. This position specializes in the Medicare and Medicaid accounting transactions. The incumbent manages, maintains, and controls all revenue claims along with corresponding expenses, payments, account balances for Medicare parts A and B recipients relating to a qualifying stay.</p> <p>The duties of this position include analyzing and interpreting Medicare financial information, assisting upper management in the decision-making processes regarding admissions, discharges, ancillary services, and other pertinent data to make sound fiscal decisions. Other duties include electronically submitting claims for Medicare parts A and B as well as all other program revenue sources, and monitoring accounts receivables to maintain reasonable levels by working with Medicare and Medicaid intermediaries, insurance providers and other sources of payment.</p> <p>For a full copy of the position description, click here.</p> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>The starting salary for this position is between $31.00 - $36.00 an hour ($64,480 - $74,880). Salary is dependent on candidate qualifications. The Accountant - Journey classification is in pay schedule and range 07-03.</p> <p>Additional compensation may be given to candidates with licensure as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).</p> <p>Compensation for current State employees may vary and will be set in accordance with the State Compensation Plan.</p> <p>Job Details</p> <p>Due to the nature of the position, WDVA will conduct a criminal background check prior to an offer of employment.</p> <p>Employment in this position is contingent upon passing a pre-employment tuberculosis (TB) skin test.</p> <p>A 12-month probationary period will be required.</p> <p>Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States (i.e., a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without WDVA sponsorship) at the time of application.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Minimally qualified applicants will have:</p> <ul> <li> <p>A bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance, or the equivalent training and experience; and</p> </li><li> <p>Accounts receivable experience (e.g., billing, reviewing/distributing invoices, performing collection duties, etc.); and</p> </li><li> <p>Experience performing reconciliations.</p> </li></ul> <p>Well qualified candidates will also have experience with Medicare or Medicaid finance.</p> <p>How To Apply</p> <p>To be considered for this position, you will need to complete the online application process.
