We've provided design-build and design-bid-build construction for more than four decades, responding to disasters and supporting military operations around the globe.</p> <p>Across the globe and the nation, a few notable projects include the US Coast Guard Maritime Patrol Hanger on Cape Cod, Security Barrier Systems, Lakenheath England; Seismic Repairs, Alcatraz Island; Ahwahnee Hotel Restoration, Yosemite National Park:USCG Hurricane Repairs, San Juan Puerto Rico; Air Force Academy Field House Renovation, Colorado Springs, CO;, and multiple security upgrades for U.S. Embassy's across the globe.</p> <p>Extraordinary Projects need Exceptional Talent</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>As a Design Manager-Construction at Perini Management Services, reporting to Senior Vice President of Operations you will have the opportunity to:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Manage and oversee design-build projects(s), lead and coordinate the development of design-build projects, and manage company design-build proposals, programs and or projects both at the home and at the project locations.</p> </li><li> <p>Lead, oversee and coordinate subcontractor Architecure/Engineering firms - all disciplines.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and manage design schedules to ensure timely design submissions.</p> </li><li> <p>Review design-build submittals including phased design documents, released for construction plans, and working drawings for contract compliance and constructability issues.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate design development and design reviews with construction subcontractors to optimize the efficiency and economy of the design.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare contract drawing and specification packages in conjunction with the Design Team.</p> </li><li> <p>Identify permitting requirements and manage the development of pre-construction permitting.</p> </li><li> <p>Represent company in project meetings; comment resolution meetings, design charrettes and preconstruction conferences; oral presentation experience required.</p> </li><li> <p>Initiate and maintain liaison with prime client to facilitate final construction design packages.</p> </li><li> <p>Manage project risk through the review and resolution of issues related to the project design and ensure adherence to Perini policies, procedures, and standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate and develop conceptual and proposal stage design packages in assistance of estimating effort on design-build proposals.</p> </li><li> <p>Administer all aspects of the Contract through the design stage, including contracting designers, managing changes, administration of Prime Contract and Subcontracts (invoicing, payments, modifications, etc.), scheduling, etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and maintain productive and professional relationships with Client, A/E teams, and subcontractors to facilitate working relationships leading into construction activities.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and train junior staff.</p> </li><li> <p>Assume additional responsibilities as directed.</p> </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Engineering</p> </li><li> <p>Professional Engineer or Architect Registration a plus.</p> </li><li> <p>10 + years of cumulative experience in design and/or construction management.</p> </li><li> <p>Federal project experience required.</p> </li><li> <p>Design/Build project experience required.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance is required.</p> </li><li> <p>Proficient in reading, understanding, and interpreting complex construction contract plans, technical requirements, special provisions, and standard specifications.</p> </li><li> <p>Proven leadership and organizational capacity relative to the comprehensive management of design teams and project stakeholders.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent writing, communication and interpersonal skills required.</p> </li></ul> <p>Perini Management Services builds extraordinary projects, and we need exceptional talent.
